Is your home and property prepared for wildfire? In this workshop you will learn from fuels expert Dr. Peter Kolb, an accredited forestry research scientist from MSU, and a host of local partners dedicated to wildfire evacuation management, burn permits, home ignition zone preparedness, and your household’s readiness for wildfire in the Bitterroot. You will learn how to safely treat and burn fuels around your home/forest, practice chainsaw techniques, assess and lower your home’s risk to wildfire, and successfully navigate Ravalli County’s burn permitting process.
Date: Saturday April 18th, from 9AM-3PM
Location: Hamilton Fire Department
