DESCRIPTION:The Amateur Radio Club KG7SPL of the Corvallis American Legion Post #91 meets at 6pm\, on the first Monday of the month\, at the Corvallis Firehall on the Woodside Cutoff Road. \nKG7SPL has a weekly radio net at 7pm\, Wednesday\, starting on 146.580 simplex and then on the club’s repeater located at 147.300 (DSC 703). \nEach month the club conducts amateur radio testing\, a “Fox Hunt” and a HF exercise here in the Bitterroot Valley. \nMembers participate in the Winter Field Day in January\, ARRL Field Day in June\, and Emergency Communications Training. \nEvery year KG7SPL provides radio coverage for the Corvallis Memorial Day Parade\, the Darby Dog Derby\, Robert’s Run and other local events. \nThe club has its own radio station and throughout the year holds “Get On The Air” radio nights. \nFor more information\, please call club president Mike Nesbihal at 406-552-8696.

DESCRIPTION:Corvallis American Legion Post #91\nPoint of Contact: Doug Mason\n406-546-4244 \nThe Fishing Club of Corvallis American Legion Post #91 meets at 6:30 pm\, on the first and third Monday of the month\, at the Hamilton Masonic Lodge\, at 115 South 3rd Street\, Hamilton. \nOpen to all veterans and their families\, The Post 91 Fishing Club is all about getting veterans out there and on the water. \nDuring the winter months the club teaches an advanced flyrod building class which runs during the winter and early spring. \nAlso\, during that time\, fly tying is also taking place with instruction. \nThe fishing club provides all the equipment to tie flies. \nThere are several float trips planned for this year. \nA few of the trips are overnight so veterans can camp and fish some of the best fishing around. \nIn the early summer\, a trip to the Missouri is planned\, which will entail a camping experience as well. \nDuring the rest of the year\, there are casting classes\, and clinics to keep the new or old fisherman busy. \nFor more information\, please call Chris Haxton at 406-531-2184.

DESCRIPTION:Curious about ancient hunting techniques? \n  \nJoin us around a warming fire to learn about the history and mechanics of atlatl. After a safety briefing we will give a short lesson on how to use the atlatl followed by some one-on-one coaching/practice on our range. Throwers of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Parking is limited so please consider carpooling. \n  \nAt 1PM we will transition to competitive throwing. Crafted Wild maintains a property leaderboard with awards given out for the top three throwers in each category. \nThrowers are encouraged to register with the World Atlatl Association to have their scores considered for the world leaderboard. \n  \nRegistration is required for planning purposes and to help the day run smoothly. Registration closes at 5PM the day before the tournament.
