🐓 From Your Flock to Your Table: Humane Home Poultry Harvesting

Part of CCMT’s Heritage Skills Workshop Series, this hands-on, three-hour workshop offers an opportunity to learn the practical, time-honored skill of poultry harvesting in a supportive community setting. Bring up to 10 fowl and learn how to humanely dispatch, process, and prepare them for your table with care and respect 🌾 This workshop is for chickens and turkeys only – no water fowl or quail.
🤝 This is a communal poultry butchering workshop. Everyone will work side by side and participate in every aspect of the harvest, no matter how many fowl each person brings. Come prepared to learn, lend a hand, and share in the work from beginning to end.
🎟️ Your first ticket includes workshop participation and harvesting for up to five birds. You may bring additional fowl for an added fee per bird, with a maximum of 10 birds total.
👥 Space is limited to just six ticketed participants, but each participant is welcome to bring one friend at no additional charge to learn and help with the communal harvest.
🍲 At the end of the workshop, you may take home the meat from your birds or donate some or all of it to our Ladles of Love program, helping provide nourishing, locally sourced meals for members of our Bitterroot Valley community facing food scarcity.
