$175

Learn the Skills. Share the Knowledge. Strengthen Our Community.
Building a resilient and self-reliant Bitterroot Valley begins by reconnecting with the skills that help us care for ourselves, one another, and our local food system.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll watch the process, learn alongside others, and gain practical experience in:
- Humane livestock harvesting and basic pig anatomy
- Skinning and quartering a pot-bellied pig for roasting
- Understanding how the hide is prepared for a traditional whole-pig roast
- Preparing, storing, and cooking the meat
- Strengthening local food security through shared skills and community knowledge
Each participant will take home approximately 30 pounds of quartered pot-bellied pork to prepare and enjoy.
