Is your home and property prepared for wildfire? In this workshop you will learn from fuels expert Dr. Peter Kolb, an accredited forestry research scientist from MSU, and a host of local partners dedicated to wildfire evacuation management, burn permits, smoke and health impacts, home ignition zone preparedness, and your household’s readiness for wildfire in the Bitterroot. You will learn how to safely treat and burn fuels around your home/forest, be equipped to mitigate dangerous health risks from wildfire smoke, learn how to assess and lower your home’s risk to wildfire, and dive into the Ravalli wildfire evacuation procedure and burn permitting process.

Parking: Please park on the west end of Fire Station to maintain space for emergency response vehicles
