Dragon Lore Around the World

Noticed a spike in the local dragon population? They’re everywhere these days, from blockbuster movies to book covers, plush toys and jewelry to fine art and festivals. Among the most ancient and universal of all archetypes, dragons continue to captivate the human imagination and the stories we tell.

Strikingly similar depictions of dragons or dragon-like creatures appear in the cultural history and lore of  every civilization. Tonight we will glimpse some of these dragons around the world through the lens of ancient storytelling.
