DIY Bee Hotel (adult craft)

April 30 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

We can’t forget the other bees! Honeybees are devastated by pesticides, parasites, and diseases, but they are not at risk of extinction. North America’s nearly 4,000 native bee species are in peril, however. Unlike honeybees in a hive, 90% of native bees make solitary nests in wood, hollow stems, or underground.

This program is a chance to make your own “bee hotel,” where essential pollinators like mason and leafcutter bees can safely nest. Supplies provided. Registration is required for this event. Priority registration for NVPL card holders.
