Sophia Etier is a Montana Native and Public Historian, focusing her research on the development of local Montana History as well as specializing in the heritage of Western Montana’s red-light districts and the development of minority communities within the region. Sophia is also a tour developer for several local institutions including Unseen Missoula, the Ravalli County Museum, and the City of Missoula Historic Preservation Office. She primarily oversees the Carnal Enterprises red-light tour which she curated in 2023. Sophia is currently working on the advancement of her research as a doctoral student in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Montana.
